Cast Member: Keith Cooke

The narrative is fairly crisp, but cannot make the action any less ‘American’ in its pace and imagination (or lack of!).

While it’ll never scale the heights of its Hong Kong counterparts of the day, this fast and fun sequel still delivers the Rothock, Norton and Cooke action goods.

While it is undoubtedly still flawed, ‘Mortal Kombat’ remains one of the most admirable big screen video game adaptations and a competent American Martial Arts movie.

I definitely recommend this to those who enjoyed the earlier ‘No Retreat,No Surrender’ films and similar mindless, but well styled, action flicks.
