Buoyed by two incredible performances from the young leads the film offers a fun take on two youngsters in the digital age using their grasp of tech to help them survive.

A typically operatic Korean rom-com where subtlety is elbowed aside in favour of ‘My Sassy Girl’ style emotional fireworks.

If you want to experience a beautiful, touching drama with a dreamlike atmosphere, then ‘3-Iron’ comes highly recommended.

This slick looking and battle charged war film doesn’t stray too far from the well worn war movie path but certainly tells an inspiring and conflict heavy tale from the Korean War.

A true gangster epic with brilliant performances, direction and action and not a mockney geezer or wideboy in sight. Simply: great.

Lee’s outing in the series really isn’t quite a bad as it might appear, and still contains enough spooky incidence and unexpected scares to make it a decent timewaster for most Asian horror fans.

A crackerjack Korean comedy that features a wonderful double act by Lee Sun-Kyun and Cho Jin-Woong as the oddball antagonists.

The destination will probably be inevitable to you 5 minutes into the movie, but that is unlikely to stop the tears rolling down your cheeks come closing credits and the journey, not the destination is the thing of greatest importance.

As it draws to it conclusion, that Korean melancholy kicks in and the characters begin to extend beyond caricatures.

Despite moments that show a director trying to craft something different from a common storyline, there is no reason why this should be considered unfair; this is mostly well executed yet only mildly diverting fare.

If you are willing to substitute blood for brains and real heart for cheap scares, this movie will be one you will remember long after you see it.

‘A Violent Prosecutor’ might not be winning awards for originality, but it certainly serves as a good use of two hours.
