It’s hard not to be drawn into director Wang Yu’s eccentric world with its almost Python-esque techniques and fights.

For everyone looking for a fight-filled evening’s entertainment, ‘My Life’s On The Line’ will satisfy even the most jaded viewer.

Perhaps one of the best of the many (many) ninja movies to bear the Filmark International Ltd mark and mainly due to the extreme amount of sheer ninja action lunacy it packs in.

‘Ninja In The USA’ certainly isn’t anything special but it’s still a fairly pleasing low-budget chop socky that has some well-handled action.

Although the plot may be somewhat lacking, ‘Ninja Vs. Shaolin Guards’ remains a very entertaining outing thanks to a wealth of well crafted kung fu fights.

Chen Wen Pin and his on-screen daughter are excellent in the films two most important roles, bringing a humanity to characters who represent a sad underclass in Taiwanese society.

‘Of Cooks and Kung Fu’ does feature some inventive action and a star in Jacky Chen who is adept at acrobatic fisticuffs.

A few moments of Wang Yu madness creep into the film to enliven things, but this is mostly a hard slog to get through.

There’s no doubt that much is wrong with ‘Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?’, but there’s also an undeniable power of never quite knowing how the narrative will turn out.

Taking the concept of multiple personalities and giving it a sci-fi twist, ‘Plurality’ is a confident and well shot attempt at copying the Hollywood gloss

By no means unexciting, the choreography still lacks a stylish edge and tends to appear archaic at times. This is compensated by director Chai Ying Min’s brave concentration on the various relationships of the story.

It is a confident film that merely allows the people involved to tell their story without the need for the makers to chime in unnecessarily.
