New trailer for Zhang Yimou’s ‘The Great Wall’

At the recent New York Comic Con, a new trailer was unveiled for director Zhang Yimou’s (‘House of Flying Daggers‘) upcoming American-Chinese epic ‘The Great Wall’.

The film, which marks the most expensive movie ever shot entirely in China, tells the fantastical tale of an elite force who take a stand for humanity atop the Great Wall of China. The cast includes Matt Damon, Willem Dafoe, Pablo Pascal, Andy Lau, Lu Han, Eddie Peng, and Jing Tian.

Synopsis: Starring global superstar Matt Damon and directed by one of the most breathtaking visual stylists of our time, Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers), Legendary’s The Great Wall tells the story of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world’s most iconic structure. The first English-language production for Yimou is the largest film ever shot entirely in China. The Great Wall also stars Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe and Andy Lau.

‘The Great Wall’ will open across China on December 16, 2016, with a US/UK release to follow in February 2017.
