Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Back Home’

CN Entertainment are bringing the 2023 Hong Kong horror movie ‘Back Home’ (七月返歸) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on January 17, 2025.

Written and directed by Nate Ki, the film revolves around a Canadian man who returns to Hong Kong to care for his ailing mother and begins to see paranormal apparitions. The cast includes Anson Kong, Bai Ling, Tai Bo, Aaron Chow, and Helen Tam.

Synopsis: Since a young age, Heung Wing (Anson Kong) has been able to see ghosts, but he’s tried to turn a blind eye to what’s around him. One day, he receives news that his mother (Bai Ling) is hospitalized after attempting suicide. Heung Wing, who has been living in Canada, is forced to return to Hong Kong. Moving back into his childhood home, he sees a ghost again, and encounters strange incidents and people one after another. Everything seems to be coming at him at once – there’s a neighbor’s child who seems to see ghosts and an urban legend of a death on the seventh floor of the building. Is Heung Wing the only one who can see the truth, or is it that the truth only exists in his eyes?
