Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Jade Dynasty’

Panorama are bringing the 2019 Chinese martial arts fantasy ‘Jade Dynasty’ (诛仙) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on May 8, 2020.

Directed by Ching Siu-Tung, the film revolves around a young man raised by monks who learns the truth about the death of his parents and begins to succumb to his anger. The cast includes Sean Xiao, Li Qin, Meng Meiqi, and Tang Yixin, with action choreography by Ching himself and Xiong Xin-Xin.

Synospis: As a child, Zhang Xiaofan (Sean Xiao) was taken in by the Qingyunmen sect after his village was massacred by mysterious forces. Despite training in the Taoist arts for many years, the earnest youth has made little advancement and always comes in last among his fellow disciples. Through a twist of fate, he learns a special martial art and acquires a mystical weapon, vaulting him up the power rankings and into dangerous duels. Along the way, he begins to uncover the secrets behind his identity and the evil that destroyed his village.
