Blu-ray release: ‘Detention’

Deltamac are bringing the 2019 Taiwanese psychological horror movie ‘Detention’ (返校) to Taiwanese Blu-ray on January 30, 2020.

Directed by John Hsu and adapted from a popular video game, the film revolves around two teenagers who are trapped in their high school and encounter supernatural horrors. The cast includes Gingle Wang, Fu Meng-Po, Tseng Ching-Hua, Cecilia Choi, and Hsia Ching-Ting.

Synopsis: High school senior Fang Ray Shin (Gingle Wang) is in love with her tutor Chang Ming Hui (Fu Meng-Po). Faced with problems at home and at school, she sees him as her only way out in this suffocating era of loneliness and repression. Ming Hui organizes a reading club with other teachers and students in order to study banned books. In the high-pressure environment of the school, they risk their lives to experience a bit of freedom. One rainy night, Ray Shin and classmate Chung Ting (Tseng Ching-Hua) wake up at school. The two try to search for their teacher, but they find that the dark and terrifying campus is not the world they once knew.
