Blu-ray release: ‘Evil Dead Trap’

88 Films are bringing the 1988 Japanese supernatural slasher ‘Evil Dead Trap’ (死霊の罠) to UK Blu-ray on February 26, 2024.

Directed by Toshiharu Ikeda, the film follows a late night TV presenter who receives a snuff tape and decides to take a crew out to a location indicated in the tape. The cast includes Miyuki Ono, Yuji Honma, Hitomi Kobayashi, Shinsuke Shimada, and Aya Katsuragi.

Synopsis: A TV station employee takes a camera crew out to an abandoned factory to investigate a purported snuff film that was made there, only to end up running for her life. Nami hosts a late night video program. She receives a tape which appears to be a real snuff film. She and her crew investigate the location where she meets a man looking for his brother who warns her to stay away. As she gets closer to the truth, she and her friends are subjected to a brutal nightmare.
