Blu-ray release: ‘Facets of Love’

88 Films are bringing the 1973 Hong Kong erotic drama ‘Facets of Love’ (北地胭脂) to US and UK Blu-ray on October 28, 2024.

Written and directed by Li Han-Hsiang, the film revolves around a Ming Dynasty brothel that steams with secret erotic myths, trysts and twists of pleasurable indulgence. The cast includes Lily Ho Li-Li, Yueh Hua, Hu Chin, Teresa Ha Ping, Cheng Kang-Yeh, and Su Hsiang.

Synopsis: ‘Facets of Love’ tells the stories of the Shanghai brothel in the early years of the 20th century: of its devious owners, of the unhappy innocents that have been tricked into toiling there and of the entitled men who visit, the ordinary and the illustrious.
