
Blu-ray release: ‘Forbidden City Cop’

88 Films are bringing the 1996 Hong Kong period comedy ‘Forbidden City Cop’ (大內密探零零發) to UK Blu-ray on June 21, 2021.
Directed by Stephen Chow and Vincent Kok, the film follows a hapless imperial guard with a talent for making gadgets who must protect the emperor. The cast includes Stephen Chow, Carina Lau, Carman Lee, Cheung Tat-Ming, and Law Kar-Ying.
Synopsis: Amongst the four Imperial Guards of China is Fat (Stephen Chow) a hapless gadget inventor operating under the cover of a gynaecologist – who must protect His Majesty from dark forces of the Jin Dynasty, despite not bearing any martial arts skills himself.
