Blu-ray release: ‘Golgo 13’

Eureka Entertainment are bringing the 1973 Japanese-Iranian action movie ‘Golgo 13’ (ゴルゴ13) to UK Blu-ray on July 17, 2023.

Based on the manga by Takao Saito and directed by Junya Sato, the film revolves around a professional assassin who is contracted to kill the head of a worldwide crime syndicate responsible for drugs, weapons, and human trafficking. The cast includes Ken Takakura, Mohsen Sohrabi, Jaleh Sam, Pouri Banayi, and Ahmad Ghadakchian.

Synopsis: Golgo 13, also known by the pseudonym Duke Togo, is a professional assassin. His age and birthplace are unknown and there is no consensus in the worldwide intelligence community as to his true identity. Most of his jobs are completed through the use of a customized, scoped M16 rifle. Golgo 13 is contracted to kill Boss Goa, the head of a worldwide crime syndicate responsible for drugs, weapons, and human trafficking.
