Blu-ray release: ‘Love And Crime’

88 Films are bringing the 1969 anthology horror thriller ‘Love And Crime’ (明治大正昭和 猟奇女犯罪史) to US and UK Blu-ray on January 20, 2025.

Directed by Teruo Ishii, the film delivers four dramatized tales of real-life crimes of passion involving women across the ages. The cast includes Teruo Yoshida, Ritsuko Nakamura, Rika Fujie, Mitsuko Aoi, Yukie Kagawa, Eiji Wakasugi, Toru Yuri, Asano Kanamori, Toru Yuri, Asano Kanamori, Asao Koike, Yoshi Kiyama, and Yumi Teruko.

Synopsis: Featuring the stories of the “Hotel Nihonkaku Murders”, the notorious “poison wife” and last woman in Japan to be executed by beheading, Oden Takahashi, the brutal serial killer Yoshio Kodaira and the story of Sada Abe, the infamous castratice featured in Nagisa Oshima’s In the Realm of the Senses.
