Blu-ray release: ‘Star Musketeer Bismark’

Discotek Media are bringing the 1984-1985 Japanese sci-fi action adventure anime show ‘Star Musketeer Bismark’ (星銃士ビスマルク) to US Blu-ray on February 25, 2025.

Directed by Akira Shigino and Masami Anno, the series follows four ace pilots and sharpshooters from different nations and backgrounds who join forces to fend off the alien threat of Deathcula. The voice cast includes Kazuhiko Inoue, Bin Shimada, Chie Kojiro, Yoku Shioya, and Fumihiko Tachiki.

Synopsis: Fifteen years ago, humanity narrowly avoided extinction at the hands of Deathcula—a destructive star-born scourge. Since then, the Deathcula have returned to establish a foothold on Ganymede. With their forces spread too thin to fight back, the Earth Federation is forced to dispatch their ultimate weapon—the Bismark. Its pilots aren’t exactly model citizens, but if they can put their egos aside, they just might be the galaxy’s best chance against Deathcula’s forces.
