Blu-ray release: ‘The Great Chase’

Neon Eagle Video are bringing the 1975 Japanese action adventure ‘The Great Chase’ (華麗なる追跡) to US Blu-ray in June 2025.

Directed by Norifumi Suzuki, the film revolves around an accomplished racecar driver who agrees to work undercover for the Japanese Defense Agency to break up a heroin smuggling operation. The cast includes Etsuko Shihomi, Hisako Tanaka, Mach Fumiake, Bin Amatsu, Masashi Ishibashi, and Yoichi Numata.

Synopsis: Shinobu Yashiro (Etsuko Shihomi) is an accomplished racecar driver who has a side hustle working undercover for the Japanese Defense Agency. Her latest assignment is to break up a heroin smuggling operation that may also be behind the murder of her father.
