DVD release: ‘My Hero, Chihiro’

Salvation Films are bringing the 2015 Japanese pink comedy ‘My Hero, Chihiro’ (いたずら天使 乱れ姿七変化) to UK DVD on September 20, 2021.

Directed by Motosugu Watanabe, the film revolves around a bored housewife who must become Japan’s biggest idol or else the country will disappear forever. The cast includes Rin Sakuragi, Karin Itsuki, Shinobu Igarashi, Tomohiro Okada, and Atsushi Tsuda.

Synopsis: Chihiro (Rin Sakuragi) is a bored housewife who learns the hard way the meaning of the expression ‘Be careful what you wish for’ when one day she wishes that the world would disappear. Unluckily for Chihiro God hears her and, arriving in the form of a pretty girl in a blue dress, tells Chihiro that she will make Japan vanish unless she can complete one task; to become the country’s top Idol! Luckily, God’s long standing arch-enemy, the Devil arrives to sort out the mess!
