New (and possibly final) season for ‘Gintama’ anime

The 43rd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump revealed that a new anime series is in production for Hideaki Sorachi’s ‘Gintama’.
The anime adaptation of ‘Gintama’ first began airing in 2006, and the series has become renowned for taking extended breaks in-between seasons. This new batch of episodes could well could well be the last however, as Sorachi announced earlier this year that the manga was entering its final arc.
‘Gintama’ is likely to return to the small screen in 2017, which could well coincide with the release of the live-action movie.
