Teaser: ‘Bullet Train Explosion’

‘Bullet Train Explosion’ (新幹線大爆破) is a 2025 Japanese action thriller directed by Shinji Higuchi.

The film, which is a remake of 1975’s ‘The Bullet Train’, revolves around the race against time to save the passengers aboard a Tokyo-bound bullet train that will explode if it slows below 100 kph. The cast includes Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Kanata Hosoda, Non, Jun Kaname, Machiko Ono, and Hana Toyoshima.

Synopsis: When the Hayabusa 60 shinkansen bound for Tokyo is threatened with a bomb that will instantly detonate if it slows below 100 km/h and the bomber demands a ransom of ¥100 billion for the lives of everyone aboard, the train’s crew, as well as government authorities, must race against time to find the bomber and defuse the bomb while keeping the train and its passengers safe.

‘Bullet Train Explosion’ will be released on Netflix on April 23, 2025.
