Trailer: ‘On Fallen Wings’

‘On Fallen Wings’ (蝴蝶公墓 / Butterfly Cemetery) is a 2017 Hong Kong fantasy thriller directed by Joe Ma.

Based on Cai Jun’s popular suspense novel, the film follows a group of students at a university who go in search of a mysterious wish-granting cemetery. The cast includes Zhang Li, Vivian Dawson, Kenneth Tsang, Jiang Mengjie, and Carman Lee.

Synopsis: Shui has just transferred to S University where the beauty queen, Shuang shows immediate interest in him. Shuang assigns Xiao Die, her minion who has mild skeletal deformities, to arrange a date for her and Shui. Eventually, Xiao Die and Shui become friends and he tells her that the reason he transferred to S University was to search for his missing girlfriend Bai Lu. When a butterfly leads Xiao Die to a garden, she sees an apparition of Bai Lu who tells her about a cemetery where all your wishes can come true. After searching for details on the cemetery on the internet, Xiao Die  discovers it is near the University so she decides to pay it a visit…

‘On Fallen Wings’ is due for release later this year.
