‘The Star Next Door’ (이웃집 스타) is a South Korean drama directed by Kim Sung-Wook.

The film revolves around a famous actress who is forced to move her estranged daughter into the house next door to keep their relationship secret from the public. The cast includes Han Chae-Young, Jin Ji-Hee, Im Seul-Ong, Lim Hyung-Joon, and Sol-Bi.

Synopsis: Hye-Mi (Han Chae-Young) is a top star known for her scandals. She lives right next door to middle school student So-Eun (Jin Ji-Hee). In reality, So-Eun is Hye-Mi’s daughter, but they have kept it a secret from the public. So-Eun does not like her mother, due to her scandal with idol Ji-Hoon (Im Seul-Ong). So-Eun has a crush on Ji-Hoon.

‘The Star Next Door’ opens across South Korea in September 2017.
