‘366 Days’ (366日 / 366 Nichi) is a 2025 Japanese romantic drama directed by Takehiko Shinjo.
Inspired by the 2008 song ‘366 Days’ by HY, the film revolves around a young couple who seem destined to be together forever until one day one of them suddenly utters an unexpected goodbye. The cast includes Eiji Akaso, Moka Kamishiraishi, Tina Tamashiro, Junpei Mizobata, and Hikari Ishida.
Synopsis: In 2003, Minato (Eiji Akaso), a high school student living in Okinawa, meets Mimi (Moka Kamishiraishi), a junior at the same high school. The two share the same love of music and are naturally attracted to each other. On the day of Minato’s graduation ceremony, they confess their feelings and decide to go out together. Two years later, Mimi moves to Tokyo and reunites with Minato, and their happy days together in Tokyo begin. The two wish that their happiness would last 365 days a year. One day, however, Minato suddenly says goodbye and leaves Mimi. [© Far East Films]
