Trailer: ‘A Long Shot’

‘A Long Shot’ (老枪) is a 2024 Chinese crime thriller co-written and directed by Gao Peng.

The film revolves around a former sharpshooter-turned-security guard who gets wrapped up in a series of complicated crimes that take place at his work. The cast includes Zu Feng, Qin Hailu, Zhou Zhengjie, Feng Lei, and Shao Bing.

Synopsis: Sharpshooter Gu Xuebing (Zu Feng) retired after he lost part of his hearing and got a job as a security guard in the Fenglin Ferroalloy Factory. When he discovers that a colleague has been stealing, he tries to put a stop to it but things become complicated when he learns that the son of the woman he likes, Jin Yujia (Qin Hailu), is also involved. After an accidental death occurs during a burglary, a deep-seated evil surfaces and everyone is caught in the middle of it, with an unavoidable outbreak on the horizon. [© Far East Films]
