Trailer: ‘Across the Furious Sea’

‘Across the Furious Sea’ (涉过愤怒的海) is a 2023 Chinese crime drama co-written and directed by Cao Baoping.

The film revolves around the murder of a young girl which reveals the hidden truth behind the families of both the suspect and the victim. The cast includes Huang Bo, Zhou Xun, Zu Feng, Zhang Youhao, and Zhou Yiran.

Synopsis: Lao Jin (Huang Bo) has worked hard, fishing all day long so that his daughter Jin Lina (Zhou Yi) could study abroad. Once there though, Lina is viciously stabbed 17 times and dies, with the biggest suspect being her boyfriend Li Miaomiao (Zhang Youhao). Jin heads off across the sea to seek revenge, but Miaomiao keeps absconding under the protection of his mother Jing Lan (Zhou Xun). In this mystery of human nature, who can reach the other side of love and forgiveness? [© Far East Films]
