‘Anchor’ (앵커) is a 2022 South Korean mystery-thriller written and directed by Jeong Ji-Yeon.
The film follows a news anchor who begins investigating the mysterious death of an informant who calls the station and predicts their own murder. The cast includes Chun Woo-Hee, Shin Ha-Kyun, Lee Hye-Young, Kim Hyung-Suk, and Eun Sol.
Synopsis: Se-Ra (Chun Woo-Hee) is a famous anchor on a broadcasting station. 5 minutes before her news broadcast is to go live, she receives a phone call. The caller Mi-So tells Se-Ra “I am going to be killed by someone. Please cover the story of my death.” Se-Ra assumes the call is a prank, but she still can’t stop thinking about it. Se-Ra’s mother, So-Jung (Lee Hye-Young) advises her to cover Mi-So’s story. Se-Ra visits Mi-So’s home and discovers the dead bodies of Mi-So and her daughter. Since then, Se-Ra is unable to stop thinking about Mi-So’s dead body. Se-Ra then faces Mi-So’s psychiatrist In-Ho (Shin Ha-Kyun). [Source: AsianWiki]
