‘Article 20’ (第二十条) is a 2024 Chinese comedy-drama directed by Zhang Yimou.

The film follows a prosecutor as he takes on a tricky final case while also attempting to resolve some issues in his home life. The cast includes Lei Jiayin, Ma Li, Zhao Liying, Gao Ye, Liu Yaowen, Lawrence Wang, and Chen Minghao.

Synopsis: Han Ming (Lei Jiayin) has had many bad things happen to him since he was appointed to the city prosecutor’s office. His son Han Yuchen (Liu Yaowen) beat up the son of a school leader (Zhang Yi) and refused to apologise. His wife Li Maojuan (Ma Li) was outraged and beat up the school leader and succeeded in making up for it. Meanwhile, his partner at work Lu Lingling (Gao Ye) was in constant disagreement with him, and the current case dragged on for a long time, with Hao Xiuping (Zhao Liying), the person involved in the case, pushed to the brink of extinction. As the battle between love and law unfolds, and the balance between career and family is in progress, Han Ming decides to gamble everything to give justice and righteousness a say in his own way… [© Far East Films]
