‘Before Next Spring’ (如果有一天我将会离开你) is a 2022 Chinese drama written and directed by Li Gen.

The film revolves around a Chinese exchange student who strikes up several new friendships during his time spent at a restaurant in Tokyo. The cast includes Xie Chengze, Qi Xi, Niu Chao, Qiu Tian, Song Ningfeng, Chen Yongzhong, and Sylvia Chang.

Synopsis: Li Xiaoli (Xie Chengze) is a Chinese exchange student who travels to Fuchinobe in Tokyo to study for a year. After much searching, he finally finds a Chinese restaurant with the help of his old classmate Qiu Qiu (Qiu Tian). The acting manager, Guan Wei (Qi Xi), takes him in while the clerk, Aoki (Niu Chao), treats him as a rival. As the next spring rapidly approaches, what will happen to the new relationships and bonds that have been formed? [© Far East Films]
