‘Bodyguard’ (경호원) is a 2020 South Korean action/drama written and directed by Son Seung-Hyun.

The film centres around a man with no real will to live who suddenly finds himself involved with a woman with connections to the criminal underworld. The cast includes Kang Suk-Chul, Yoo Ye-Bin, Ji Hye-In, Kim Jin-Woo, and Choi Cheol-Ho.

Synopsis: Soo Han, who has lost both his loved ones and the will to live, works at a private loan company. One day, Soo Han sees a woman being chased by a gangster and steps in to help by hiding her in his house. He discoers that the woman’s name is Ye Jin and she is the only successor to the Taejin Group. She is being chased by Cheol Woong, a man who wants to take over the group. Meanwhile, CEO Cho, the CEO of the private loan company, starts looking for Ye Jin at the request of Cheol Woong and soon learns that Soo Han and Ye Jin are related.
