‘The Bold, the Corrupt and the Beautiful’ (血觀音) is a Taiwanese crime drama directed by Yang Ya-Che.

The film revolves around a powerful crime boss who is facing difficulties in both her work life and the relationship she has with her two daughters. The cast includes Kara Hui, Wu Ke-Xin, and Wen Qi.

Synopsis: Madame Tang colludes and mediates between the government and the private businesses for the benefits of her all-female family. One case does not go according to plan however, and an entire family close to Madame Tang fall victim to a gruesome murder. Ambition, desire and lust eventually change Tang’s relationships with her own family forever.

‘The Bold, the Corrupt and the Beautiful’ opens across Taiwan on November 24, 2017.
