‘Border Sea’ (边海) is a 2025 Chinese romantic drama directed by Wang Chenliu.
The film revolves around a young Chinese man who meets and falls in love with a Vietnamese girl while they are both working at the border trade market. The cast includes Zhao Yingbo, Ding Zhao Duanyi, Liu Sibo, Liu Zhibing, and Qin Yang.
Synopsis: Ah Yong, a young man from the Jing nationality in China, and his good brother Ah Cheng meet a Vietnamese girl Ah Hua in the border trade market. The three of them rely on the Sino-Vietnamese border trade market to cooperate in business, and Ah Yong and Ah Hua fall in love with each other. However, it is covetous and Ah Cheng is framed and sent to prison. Six years later, Ah Yong has developed into a domestic supplier of seafood products in Vietnam. After Ah Cheng is released from prison, he and the girl Ah Mei who was rescued that year finally become a family, creating the beauty of this Sino-Vietnamese cross-border love. Meanwhile, Ah Yong is looking for Ah Hua everywhere, constantly chasing her footsteps, as the so-called “crossing the mountains and seas just to meet you”. [© Far East Films]
