‘Burning Blood’ (热血燃烧 / Hot Blood Burning) is a 2024 Chinese crime action thriller directed by Wilson Chin.

The film revolves around a pair of narcotics squad members who go in search of revenge after two of their people are killed during an attempt to arrest a multinational drug lord. The cast includes Jordan Chan, Michael Tse, Feng Mengmeng, Jerry Lamb, Jason Chu, German Cheung, and Paul Chun Pui.

Synopsis: Narcotics squad members Tai Wah (Jordan Chan), Lao Mee (Michael Tse), Ah Fung (Lam Hiu Fung) and Ah Tong (Jason Chu) are four close brothers. Years ago, the four were involved in the arrest of a multinational drug lord, Pops (Paul Chun Pui), and their superior, Lo Sir, asked all of them to hand in their mobile phones to prevent eavesdropping. However, Pops bribed the police, and the four of them fell into Pops’ trap. Ah Fung is unfortunately killed, and Lo Sir is also killed in the operation. Ah Tong then completely disappears from the police force and the relationship between Lao Mi and Tai Wah becomes tense.

Pops suspects the identity of his right-hand man Lao San, who has been by Pops’ side for many years and has occasionally provided information to Lo Sir for self-protection. When Lao Mi and Tai Wah join forces to arrest Dogtooth, Lao San shoots him dead and claims to be an undercover agent saying that he was bribed by Pops back then. [© Far East Films]

‘Burning Blood’ opened across China on November 30, 2024.
