‘Crisis Negotiators’ (談判專家) is a 2024 Hong Kong crime drama written and directed by Herman Yau.
The film, which is a remake of 1998’s ‘The Negotiator’, revolves around a police negotiator who accidentally becomes the number one suspect in a murder case and is forced to take over a police station to clear his name. The cast includes Lau Ching-Wan, Francis Ng, Michael Miu Kiu-Wai, Philip Keung, Kearen Pang, and Michael Chow.
Synopsis: Negotiator Cheuk Man-Wai (Lau Ching-Wan) accidentally becomes the number one suspect in a murder case. He is forced to take over a police station and hold a policeman hostage, and appoints ex-negotiator Tse Ka-Chun (Francis Ng) to have a conversation with him. Ka-Chun and Man-Wai play out a war of words and as the conversation drags on, the two men’s stance and mentality gradually change. [© Far East Films]
