‘Crossing the Yalu River’ (跨过鸭绿江) is a 2021 Chinese historical war epic directed by Dong Yachun.

The film recounts the events surrounding the Chinese intervention into the Korean War, as told through the eyes of the Communist military leader Peng Dehuai. The cast includes Ding Yongdai, Tang Guoqiang, Sun Weimin, Wang Zhifei, Liu Zhibing, Yao Gang, and Wang Ting.

Synopsis: Told from the perspective of Peng Dehuai, commander and political commissar of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army, the film comprehensively shows the entire process of the war against the United States, from the rapid escalation of the international situation before the war to the signing of the armistice agreement at Panmunjom.
