‘Dead Man’ (데드맨) is a 2024 South Korean crime mystery thriller written and directed by Ha Joon-Won.
The film revolves around a businessman who is forced to fake his death after he is falsely accused of embezzling 100 billion won. The cast includes Cho Jin-Woong, Kim Hee-Ae, Lee Soo-Kyung, Han Dong-Kyu, and Jeon Jin-Woo.
Synopsis: Lee Man-Jae (Cho Jin-Woong) makes a living by lending his name to businesses as a figurehead. One day, he lets a business use his name for 5 million won ($4,000 USD) but Lee is soon falsely accused of embezzling 100 billion won ($75 million USD) and forced to fake his death in South Korea. He is locked up in prison in China but with help from a political consultant, Mrs. Sim (Kim Hee-Ae), he is able to get out and return home. He goes in search of the person who turned him into a dead man and meets Gong Hee-Joo (Lee Soo-Kyung) who is searching for the person who killed her father. [Source: AsianWiki]
