Trailer: ‘Detective Chinatown 1900’

‘Detective Chinatown 1900’ (唐探1900) is a 2025 Chinese comedy-mystery directed by Chen Sicheng and Dai Mo.

The film, which is a prequel to the ‘Detective Chinatown’ series, tells the story of a Chinese-Native American hunter and a young American student who team up in San Francisco Chinatown in 1900 to solve a murder. The cast includes Wang Baoqiang, Liu Haoran, Chow Yun-Fat, White. K, Zhang Xincheng, and Yue Yunpeng.

Synopsis: In 1900, in San Francisco Chinatown, Chinese-Native American hunter Ah Gui (Wang Baoqiang) and American youth Qin Fu (Liu Haoran) meet by chance due to a murder case, and mistakenly form the ‘Chinatown Sleuths’ team.  To prevent a greater crisis in Chinatown, they have to race against time to find the murderer… [© Far East Films]
