‘Escape’ (탈주) is a 2024 South Korean action thriller directed by Lee Jong-Pil.
The film follows the struggles of a North Korean sergeant who decides to defect and finds himself being chased by a ruthless major. The cast includes Lee Je-Hoon, Koo Kyo-Hwan, Hong Sa-Bin, Yang Yeo-Mun, and Park Da-Won.
Synopsis: Im Kyu-Nam (Lee Je-Hoon) is a North Korean soldier who dreams of starting a new life in South Korea. To accomplish his dream, he must flee his home country and cross the DMZ. Meanwhile, Officer Ri Hyun-Sang (Koo Kyo-Hwan) of the State Security Department of North Korea chases after Kyu-Nam.
‘Escape’ opens across South Korea on July 3, 2024.
