Trailer: ‘The Founding of an Army’

‘The Founding of an Army’ (建军大业) is the third in a series of films about China’s recent history, which began with ‘The Founding of a Republic’ in 2009 and was followed by ‘The Founding of a Party’ (aka ‘Beginning of the Great Revival’) in 2011. The film commemorates the 90th anniversary of the founding of China’s military.
It is directed by Hong Kong director Andrew Lau (‘Infernal Affairs’, ‘Young and Dangerous’, ‘The Storm Riders’) and has a star-studded cast including Liu Ye, Zhu Yawen, Huang Zhizhong, Ma Tianyu, Zhang Hanyu, and many others.
‘The Founding of an Army’ opened across China on July 27, 2017.
