‘Holy Punch’ (목스박) is a 2024 South Korean action comedy written and directed by Koh Hoon.
The film revolves around a pair of gangsters who take refuge in religious locales after their boss is taken down by the leader of a rival gang. The cast includes Oh Dae-Hwan, Ji Seung-Hyun, and Kim Jung-Tae.
Synopsis: As Gyeong-cheol and Tae-yong, the two leaders of the Wanggalbi faction, are celebrating Boss Jang’s birthday, Hwang In-seong from the three-way faction storms in. After Boss Jang is slain, Gyeong-cheol and Tae-yong manage to escape and hide in the Church of Angels and the Hidden Shrine, respectively. Gyeong-cheol, who took refuge in the Church of Angels, which was ruined by a fraudulent pastor, is revered as the new pastor. Meanwhile, Tae-yong lives with the chief monk and Hwanjang monk, kicking out miscellaneous criminals hiding in a temple named Hidingsa. When a detective chasing the two gangster organizations loses a family member to In-seong of the three-way faction, he proposes an alliance with Gyeong-cheol and Tae-yong to take down Hwang In-seong once and for all.
