‘Hopeless’ (화란) is a 2023 South Korean neo-noir thriller written and directed by Kim Chang-Hoon.
The film revolves around a teenage boy who while wanting to escape from his hellish reality, meets the middle boss of a local gang and ends up in the world of crime. The cast includes Song Joong-Ki, Hong Sa-Bin, Bibi, Jeong Jae-Kwang, and Woo Ji-Won.
Synopsis: 18-year-old Yeon-Kyu (Hong Sa-Bin) lives in a bleak and miserable situation. He has a younger sister Ha-Yan (Bibi). To find a way out, he joins a criminal organization. There, Yeon-Kyu meets Chi-Gun (Song Joong-Ki). He is a mid-level boss in the crime group who trusts and leads Yeon-Kyu. [Source: AsianWiki]
