‘How To Forget You’ (君の忘れ方) is a 2025 Japanese romantic drama co-written and directed by Yu Sakudo.
The film revolves around a young man who loses his fiancee in an accident and returns to his hometown in an attempt to get over his loss. The cast includes Ryota Bando, Nanase Nishino, Kaho Minami, Naomi Akimoto, and Wan Marui.
Synopsis: Subaru Morishita (Ryota Bando) was about to marry his girlfriend Miki (Nanase Nishino), with whom he had been dating for three years, but one day she dies in a traffic accident. As he spends his days in a daze, overcome with inexpressible anguish and sadness, he is urged by his mother Yoko (Kaho Minami) to return to his hometown of Gifu for the first time in a long while. Yoko had also lost her husband in an accident and was still suffering from the emotional pain. Subaru thought his grief would never heal, but after a strange experience, he begins to come to terms with Miki’s death. [© Far East Films]
