‘I Don’t Fire Myself’ (나는 나를 해고하지 않는다) is a 2021 South Korean drama written and directed by Lee Tae-Gyeom.
The film revolves around a woman who is forced to transfer into tough field work due to blatant gender discrimination within her company. The cast includes Yoo Da-In, Oh Jung-Se, Kim Sang-Kyu, Kim Do-Kyun, and Park Ji-Hong.
Synopsis: Jeong Eun (Yoo Da-In) works as a technical administrator at a company with severe discrimination against women. In an effort to force her to resign, the company sends Jeong Eun out to work with a subcontractor in the field. If she can handle the work for a year, she will be allowed to return to her original role. However, it’s a very physically demanding assignment that involves working on large transmission towers. Despite this though, Jeong Eun is determined to overcome the obstacles and prove her worth to the company. [© Far East Films]
