Trailer: ‘Last Mile’

‘Last Mile’ (ラストマイル) is a 2024 Japanese suspense thriller directed by Ayuko Tsukahara.

The film revolves around the manager of a large distribution centre who must work to find the culprit behind a string of explosions linked to packages coming out of their warehouses. The cast includes Hikari Mitsushima, Masaki Okada, Sadawo Abe, Dean Fujioka, Shohei Hino, and Shohei Uno.

Synopsis: On the eve of Black Friday in November, the biggest event in the distribution industry, a cardboard box delivered from the Kanto Center of a global shopping site explodes, and it soon develops into a series of bombings that terrify all of Japan. Erena Funato (Hikari Mitsushima), who has just been appointed as the head of the Kanto Center, works with team manager Akira Nashimoto (Masaki Okada) to resolve the situation.

‘Last Mile’ opens across Japan on August 23, 2024.
