Trailer: ‘Love Never Ends’

‘Love Never Ends’ (我爱你!) is a 2023 Chinese romantic drama co-written and directed by Han Yan.

Based on a Korean comic, the film revolves around two elderly couples who find their lives enriched by the love they have for each other. The cast includes Ni Dahong, Kara Hui, Tony Leung Ka-Fai, Cecilia Yip, and Cheng Guo.

Synopsis: An elderly empty nester, Chang Wei Kuan (Ni Da Hong), and a widow, Li Huiru (Hui Ying Hong), both scavenge for scrap but are not acquainted with each other. However, they gradually develop a mutual affection. Meanwhile, elderly couple Xie Ding Shan (Leung Ka Fai) and Zhao Huan Xin (Yip Tong) also make a living by collecting and selling scrap, but Huan Xin is always plagued by illness. Four elderly people, two pairs of lovers, at the final chapter of their lives but still very much in love. Even if there is no tomorrow, they still want to say “I love you” to each other.
