‘Lovesick’ (有病才会喜欢你) is a 2025 Taiwanese romantic drama directed by Hsu Fu-Hsiang.
The film revolves around a troubled teenager who begins feigning illness to get out of class, only to discover that a fellow classmate suffers from a terminal illness. The cast includes Zhan Huai-Yun, Jiang Qi, Liu Hsiu-Fu, Huang Guan-Zhi, and Pai Ching-I.
Synopsis: Troubled teenager Ye Zijie (Zhan Huai-Yun) is struggling with his schoolwork, so he decides to pretend to be sick. During class, he goes to great lengths to convince the teacher of his illness and spends his days sleeping in the health room. However, Ye Zijie (Jiang Qi), the class president of the school who just so happens to have the same name, is also in there, and she doesn’t believe his sickness. She begins to check attendance in the health room and confiscate junk food, and even disguises herself as a delivery person to try and catch Zijie out. As the pair continue to play this game of cat and mouse, they begin to have different feelings for each other, but the class president’s illness is much more real than Zijie realised.
