‘Mieruko-chan’ (見える子ちゃん) is a 2025 Japanese horror comedy written and directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura.
Based on the webcomic by Tomoki Izumi, the film follows a young girl who can see dead people but tries to ignore them and live a regular life. The cast includes Nanoka Hara, Rinka Kumada, Naenano, Coki Yamashita, and Akane Hotta.
Synopsis: Miko Yotsuya is a normal high school girl until one day, she suddenly discovers she is able to see spirits invisible to normal people. Surrounded by all sorts of dangerous entities, she decides to pretend that she does not see them. If the spirits realize that she can see them, she does not know what will happen. Miko is frightened, but she decides to remain calm and ignore them. Even if her best friend Hana is possessed or her classmate Yuria finds out that she is seeing spirits, Miko simply does her best to ignore it. [© Far East Films]
