Synopsis: Light, a bookseller, Kanoko, a psychiatrist, and Jin, an apparel store clerk, met after the Kumamoto earthquake, hit it off and soon began living together. The three are of different ages, occupations, and circumstances, but they all have one thing in common: they all love cats. Light says that he likes his “unusual life” best, Jin says that he feels “most normal now that he is with the two of them,” and Kanoko, who had resisted living with others but now feels “very stable,” find their shared life with the cats to be very healing and a source of comfort for them.
