‘My Home Hero’ (映画 マイホームヒーロー) is a 2024 Japanese thriller directed by Takahiro Aoyama.
Based on the manga series written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, the film revolves around a father who takes matters into his own hands after he finds out his daughter’s boyfriend has been physically abusive towards her. The cast includes Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kyohei Takahashi, Asuka Saito, Tae Kimura, Yasushi Fuchikami, and Shuichiro Naito.
Synopsis: Tetsuo Tosu (Kuranosuke Sasaki) is a father who killed his daughter’s boyfriend to protect his beloved family, risking his life to hide his crimes. Seven years later, a dead body is found buried in the mountains! The police embark on an investigation but they are not alone, a criminal organization is also interested as they are searching for 1 billion yen that disappeared with the corpse. Tetsuo becomes a target and suspect again while his daughter, who became a detective without knowing her father’s crimes, is approaching the truth of the case. [© Far East Films]
