Trailer: ‘New Gods: Yang Jian’

‘New Gods: Yang Jian’ (新神榜：杨戬) is a 2022 Chinese animated fantasy action-adventure directed by Zhao Ji.

The film finds Yang Jian returning to Earth to track down his nephew who is on the brink of causing a great disaster. The voice cast includes Wang Kai, Li Lanling, Ji Guanlin, Li Lihong, and Zhao Yi.

Synopsis: Fifteen hundred years after the war between the Shang Dynasty and the Zhou Dynasty, the heavenly realm is in decline and Yang Jian, who has been wronged, makes a living as a silver bounty catcher. One day, Yang Jian accepts a bounty from a mysterious visitor to hunt down a young man, who he accidentally discovers is his own nephew, Shen Xiang. Xiang is determined to retrieve the Lotus Lamp and save his mother by splitting the mountain, but this will lead to a great disaster.
