‘Otonanajimi’ (おとななじみ) is a 2023 Japanese romantic comedy directed by Hiroto Takahashi.

Based on the manga series by Aya Nakahara, the film revolves around a pair of childhood neighbours who grow up together and start to wonder if they could be more than friends. The cast includes Mizuki Inoue, Rinka Kumada, Riku Hagiwara, Nana Asakawa, and Natsumi Okamoto.

Synopsis: Kaede Kagaya and Haru Aoyama have been friends since childhood. Since they were four years old, Haru has been helping out Kaede and Kaede has had a secret crush on Haru for two decades. But now, thanks to a different girl making a pass at Haru and the entrance of a different male childhood friend named Iori, things might finally start moving in a romantic direction for Kaede and Haru.
