‘Our Secret Diary’ (交換ウソ日記) is a 2023 Japanese romantic drama directed by Kentaro Takemura.

Based on the novel ‘Kokan Uso Nikki’ by Iiyo Sakura, the film revolves around a girl who finds a letter from an admirer and the pair begin to secretly exchange notes. The cast includes Fumiya Takahashi, Hiyori Sakurada, Mizuki Kayashima, Ryousuke Sota, and Nagisa Saito.

Synopsis: Nozomi Kuroda (Hiyori Sakurada) is in the 2nd grade of high school. One day, she finds a letter in a classroom desk with just one word written on it – “like”. The person who wrote the letter is Jun Setoyama (Fumiya Takahashi) who happens to be the most popular boy at the high school. Nozomi feels embarrassed, but she eventually leaves a reply in a shoe closet at school. This is how their secret exchange diary begins but Nozomi soon learns that the intended recipient for the first letter was her best friend.
