‘Route 29’ (ルート29) is a 2024 Japanese drama written and directed by Yusuke Morii.

Inspired by the poetry book ‘Route 29 Kaihou’ by Taichi Nakao, the film revolves around a cleaner and a young girl who wind up on a road trip together and encounter numerous unique people. The cast includes Haruka Ayase, Kana Osawa, Hiroko Isayama, Kengo Kora, and Konosuke Harada.

Synopsis: Tonbo (Haruka Ayase) is a lonely cleaner who cannot communicate with people more than necessary. She goes on a trip with a young girl named Haru (Kana Osawa) who is a bit different from ordinary girls. During their trip, Tonbo’s bond with Haru deepens.
