‘The Legend of No. 9’ (9号传奇) is a 2024 Chinese sports drama written and directed by Zhu Minjiang.

The film revolves around a baseball player whose career is abruptly ended due to an injury, but he finds renewed purpose when he receives an opportunity to take on a coaching position. The cast includes Bai En, Ma Hu, and Yao Xingtong.

Synopsis: Once the No. 9 ace pitcher and national baseball player, Yu Kun (Bai En) says goodbye to the field due to a shoulder injury. Disillusioned, he is invited by the headmaster and female teacher Zhuo Ma (Yao Xingtong) to start coaching a baseball team made up of young shepherd boys, and meets Duo Jie (Ma Hu), a boy who has an insatiable obsession with winning the game.
